Erect plant with hairy stems and leaves. Leaves are compound with 5-7 toothed leaflets. Flowers are pale yellow with five (usually) notched petals. Introduced from Europe. Considered a noxious weed in many places. Rose Family.

The fruit is edible raw or cooked. The whole plant has been used in poultices historically.
