a large (10" diameter) fleshy mushroom composed of thin folds of tissue, wrinkled and folded, with tan colors, white flesh, on the ground (or buried wood) near base of tree

Habitat:

on the ground in conifer forest,Telluride, Colorado

Notes:

edible and good when cooked
