Purple Sea Urchin

Description:

Purple spines, ~1.5 inches in diameter without the spines.

Habitat:

Tide pool/intertidal zone.

Notes:

The final picture shows the test of a dead sea urchin. You can see its radial symmetry indicated by the dark bands encompassing the test (ambulacra). Those bands are where rows of tube feet were located.
