Alligatoridae
The American Alligator. Unchanged in over 200 million years. Stout, low to the ground body. Long tail, 4 legs and rounded snout. Crushing jaw power. Eat, fish, birds, snakes, small rodents and other similar types of small prey. He was about 10" long.
Natural habitat in Southern USA is marshes and wetlands. Due shrinking natural habitat, they also now reside on golf courses, backyards and the like. Due to this, pets have become at risk of being eating or harmed.
This guy had been getting fed by people and would come up on the side walk looking to get fed. Not good behavior. I found out he eventually had to be relocated. I wish people would respect the," Do No Feed Signs."
