Daddy-long-legs

Opiliones

Description:

There are at last count, 6.650 species of harvestmen or daddy longlegs. I won't bother figuring out which this one is. It's just brighter tan than the usual ones in this vicinity. They are usually dark brown. The body is only a few millimeters long, but the legspan on this individual is about 4-inches.

Habitat:

Dark spaces.

Notes:

Wow! According to Wikipedia, there's a fossilized specimen of a huntsman dating to 305-million-years! I highly suggest reading their whole article.
