Description:

Member of the blackbird family. Only parasitic bird in the Carolinas. Does not nest and lays egg in a host nest for the host to raise it. Some expel the invading egg while others care for it along with it's own young.

Notes:

Adult male standing on an old feeder watching for insects. He kept one leg up a bit...possibly injured?
