I Spotted this big guy on the ascent of Doi Inthanon, the highest mountain in Thailand. I'm guessing he's poisonous from his coloring and the how nervous my guide seemed about me getting so close! He's about life-size in the picture, maybe 3 inches long. Possible an argiope?

Argiope keyserlingi looks close, but not totally convinced. Definitely argiope though.
