It appears that in September 2010 there was a massive influx of these birds from Greenland into Iceland, the UK and northern Spain (and probably western France, although not in the report) with perhaps 150-200 in Spain, due to strong northerly winds. This followed an "El Nino" event in 2009. It previously happened in 1953 following an "el Nino" event in 1951/2. I wonder if any are still around.

Yes, I know. It was really fantastic see this bird in my country. It was the first time that it saw in Catalonia.
