I think this is a little snapping turtle. It's about as big as a quarter.
I've got better pictures on a different camera but can't download until Sunday. No bottom picture though.
I didn't get a shot of the underside. I let him go near a creek. How it survived the lawn mowing crew today I'll never know but glad he did.
Doesn't appear to be a common snapping turtle. Do you happen to have a photo of the underside?
