Sure, it' s worth a check Dangermouse. Monkey-mind, I think the leaves were more thin.
You remember if the leaves were thick or Not?
It's one of those things it looks like something else I've seen...probably completely off the mark, but worth a check! There you go, decided - you're going back and going to make your fortune with this plant! :)
Houseplants are a bit of a speciality of mine but haven't seen one like this. Hopefully your books might shed some light on this. I should go back. I know exactly where to find it and I loved that place!
It does look begonia-ish, and something else I can't remember the name of. It looks like a type of houseplant here (not my speciality)...will have to consult the books tomorrow. Maybe you should go back, Dan, just for a cutting - if it's so rare, may be worth the trip. :)
haha! You´d be a millionaire by know, who knows?
It's quite possible. Maybe very little is known about it? I should have snuck a cutting back and made a fortune in the Horticulture industry!
well, I´ll vote then for some kind of ornamental leaf-begonia
Still no ID. Anyone?
