Description:

This whole plant is very very small. No more than a few inches high and the little orchid is about the size of your thumbnail. Very small. It grows wild in our yard at the edge of our garden. It has fan shaped green leaves.

Thank you Lynne! I clicked your Wikipedia link. My flower & its leaves are shaped differently from the picture on Wikipedia, although the color is the same. I guess it's like Alice says, related to the common Violet. I'm glad to be learning the names of all the wild flowers in my yard. Thank you both!

I believe it is a Viola related to the Violet.
