Pacific Trillum

Trillium ovatum

Description:

Very popular native plant in the shady wet forests of the Pacific Northwest.

Notes:

Strangely, this beautiful specimen is growing in gravely clay on the north side of our house. We didn't plant it, and we never noticed it before, so it seems to be a volunteer.
