A worldwide community photographing and learning about wildlife
lynx rufus
The bobcat occurs in all the 48 contiguous states, southern Canada and parts of Mexico and occupy a variety of habitat from low desert to high elevation forests.
This bobcat kitten was crying and apparently looking for its mama. I had seen her on the neighbor's wall earlier and the kitten climbed this tree seeming to look over the neighbor's wall in search of its mother. After taking a few photos, the mother bobcat did show up and growled just a little bit so I left and let them be. The last photo is the mom when she came to get her baby.

The UA Wild Cat Research and Conservation Center would really love to see your Bobcat photos for identification and studying how well they are living in urban areas. Their website: http://www.uawildcatresearch.org/bobcat_...
I have Bobcat photos too. See my most recent photos of 2 kittens here: http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/374...

Sorry I should have said pictureS.
I like your story and your picture!
I want one! how beautiful!
Great photos. And good judgement as well. Never get between a mama and her baby - it ends badly.
