Ranunculus alismifolius
yellow buttercup flowers, long thin leaves
grassy wetlands, near the Long Tom River
Could easily be called a buttercup but isn't the field buttercup (Ranunculus).
Thanks, Josh. It is a beautiful sea of yellow at the Country Fair site right now, almost knee-high.
This species is the only Ranunculus in the area with non-lobed leaves that I know of. In much of its range it is dwarfed, however in Oregon it gets quite big as you see.
