Trillium chloropetalum
Three white petals tend to stand upright
Oak and ash forest, wetland
This trillium is different from the Trillium ovatum we have on the coast
This species is highly variable. Oftentimes the petals are a maroon color! It is differentiated from T. ovatum by the flowers location sessile to the leaves. As you know T. ovatum flowers are on little stalks.
