Eastern Fence Lizard

Scleroporus undulatus

Description:

Horizontal bands on back: of black, than dark brown, lastly wider white/buff colored band. Eyes black. Five toes on each foot. Tail had been lost on this specific lizard.

Habitat:

Mixed woodlands Cherokee County, GA

Notes:

I was told it is a pine lizard, but don't know.

It's whichever species of fence lizard you have there. The taxonomy has been called into question in recent years, but it's some species of Scleroporus (last I checked either consobrinus or undulatus)
