Lophocolea heterophylla
The leaves vary in shape and size and are slightly succubous; either have an apical notch or are entire. Near the end of the shoot there very small ephemeral "leaf-like structures."
Found on rotting wood in a seasonal Cottonwood swamp.
Very small liverwort. The individual leaves are less than 1 mm wide.

yeah thats right. Water diffuses passively through all parts of the plant.
non vascular. Small leaves ,so other functions like transportation of food and water can be eliminated. Since no vascular system.
Nice.
So dainty *o*
