Jaguar

Description:

The first Jaguar is of a cub photographed in the first two week session of the camera trap survey. Panthera Jaguar Project in the Cockscomb Basin Wildlife Sanctuary. Jaguar yawning in front of the panthera camara trap (which is set on a tree a the edge of the trail).

Habitat:

Mountainous Forest in at Cockscomb Basin Wildlife Sanctuary

Notes:

identification needed to verify if same or different individual! two different dates (yawning jaguar May 4 and second photo is april 30th 2011

That must be very nice to see them in the wild, just in a fraction of second when you don't expect.

i hinted the joke! haha. yup, but i had a nice 20 second view of a jaguar on the north-western part of the country! which was ironic, because i was in the jaguar preserve for from april to july, and came across one when the field work was done there! haha, i yes i can say, i had an awesome encounter on a back, dirt road!

Was just joking, I imagine it is not easy to see those kind of animals, even with hidden camera.

i would need to go to the zoo for that!!! there is a petting jaguar!!!! but in the wild, i have all this pics!!! i got no chance of a full view with my own eyes!! just a split second jump of a cat's half-body vanishing into the bushes from the road!!!! so, no chance for a scratch-free wild hug!

i have 3 months of Jaguars data, from the Panthera Jaguar Projects, will share a few more in this spotting though there might be different individuals.
