Oxythyrea funesta

Oxythyrea funesta

Description:

Small black beetle, about 1/2 inch long with small white spots on its back. He spent most of the afternoon nestled in this plant. I do not know the name of the bush, but it has lots of small white flowers and prickles running along the branches.
