Ants

Description:

These ants were the largest (approximately 1.5cm long) ants I've ever seen here in the UK, though I've not seen many ants in total.

Habitat:

Tree stump on the heath

Notes:

They were very fast and a few tried to bite me but only on the finger tips, which is lucky for me as I have good thick skin there!
