large, drab brown mantis, abdomen pointed up and kind of like a leaf.

rainforest on a mountain close to the coast

I spotted this at Bach Ma NP. I've never seen a brown praying mantis like this.

Hierodula genus for sure. Maybe Hierodula venosa

Thanks.It does look like the red mantis, the abdomen matches. There aren't many photos online though that I can find. Any idea on the family Ashish?
