Spotted in front yard on a bush, have had plenty of Praying mantids around my house for years.
I would love to have this beauty in the Marvelous Mantids of the North East mission!

Though there are similarities, I am sure that this is a Chinese Mantid.
The European Mantis has distinctive spots on the inside of the front legs :
