Medium sized about a foot long. Crawled high up concrete ditch to bask away from other similar turtles.

Habitat:

Little cypress creek near drainage bayou by sewage treatment plant.

It's definitely a cooter, genus Pseudemys. I believe you have the Texas River Cooter, Psuedemys texana there.
