Mating damselflies "docked" on a log
Costa Rican rainforest stream
At one point, there were 3 "docked" sets of damselflies on the same log. The male's red eyes really stood out in comparison to its blue coloration.
Gorgeous! This damselfly is found in semi-tropical habitats in the southern United States and extends southward to Costa Rica.
I hadn't seen this one. It is a great shot the first pic, great series Yasser.
Right. Everyone is so glad at Noah. Lovely spotting and great work by you and your team. Thumbs up. :)

250 000 spotings!!! Who would have thought???
Can you please give your team a big hug from us all?
Thank you Yasser, you and each of the team are hereby awarded a special (although imaginary) inspirational achievement award patch for inspiring a quarter of a million spottings.
Incredible eyes. We have a species here with a similar blue abdomen. I just collected a nice selection of niads for a class discussion in the pilot program.
