Can anyone tell me if this is poisonous? I have little kids and a dog. This was on my cedar plank siding. Someone posted one that looks like this on Facebook and it says they are. Kinda worried now.
It's best not to touch these caterpillars because they have urticating hairs, which can cause skin irritation. They are considered more allergenic than poisonous.
