Stems much branched,matted,from a subligneous base;lower part covered with marcescent leaves.Leaves flattened,linear lanceolate,acuminate,viscid with gland tipped septate hairs,and ciliate with long hairs.Flowers usually solitary at ends of branches:calyx viscid-pubescent:corolla tube as long as the calyx;limb rotate.up to 3cm across,pink to purplish white,drying mauve or blue.
