Cornus canadensis
This plant grows about 20-30 cm tall (10-15 in), but the ones I find in northern Minnesota tend to be at the shorter end of this range. The flower is tiny and greenish and surrounded by light-colored whitish bracts about 2-3 cm (1-1.5 in) across. Leaves are located below the blossom in a whorl-like arrangement.
This plant grows in the cool, moist soils of northern boreal forests.

I went out looking for bunchberry here in Massachusetts today and it was already done flowering : ( I did find lots of other nice things however.
The bunchberry is blooming now in the Pacific Northwest forests of British Columbia. Beautiful photo.
