After the 2012 revision of the Chromodorididae family based on molecular analysis, the Hypselodoris, Glossodoris and Chromodoris species from the Atlantic and the Mediterranean were moved to a different clade, This is now Felimare cantabrica. Atlantic and Mediterranean species previously under the Chromodoris and Glossodoris genera are now classified under Felimida.
