Black Rhino

Diceros bicornis

Description:

A critically endangered mammal, the Black Rhinoceros has been almost completely wiped out. A browser, easily distinguished from the white Rhino by the narrow hooked lip

Habitat:

They prefer areas with brushy cover and plenty of vegetation

Notes:

On an early morning game drive, we encountered this Blackie. We had visited Africa twice before and had not seen a Black Rhino. This time we were fortunate to see 6 on our trip. Quite a feat, as many African's can go a lifetime without seeing one.

Beautiful indeed. You can't help but fall in love with a Rhino when you see it in the wild. You could add this pic to the "Rhino Horn in Not Medicine" mission if you like.
Thanks for sharing Punkus.
