Description:

The largest frog in North America, Green to yellow above with random mottling in grey/brown

Habitat:

prefers ponds, lakes and slow-moving streams large enough to avoid crowding and with sufficient vegetation to provide easy cover.

Notes:

The Nisqually National Wildlife refuge is a great place to see waterfowl, shorebirds, amphibians and reptiles.

I am not sure what caused this pink, the pond right next to this one didn't have any pink on it's surface at all. It was almost like the really small duckweed but pink!

Beautiful Capture, although a bit intrigued about the marvelous pink color?! What kind of alga can cause that? Thanks for sharing.
