Description:

Body heavy, legs short, claws strong. Tail short, thick, sausage shaped. Head massive, face black, jaw wide with sharp teeth.

Habitat:

Shrubby desert and foothill grasslands primarily in W, C, and SE Arizona, SW New Mexico and SE Nevada.

Notes:

Rare spotting near the HQ building at Saguaro National Park - East District.
