I learned too.. Since my childhood I go to less such crab friendly seashores... In my city Mumbai seashores are totally polluted...!!

There were thousands of them on this beach. No people there. When you set one footstep, so much life was crawling away & around.

Tom its not a Land crab as its directed to Eubrachyura section of Decapoda order of marine invertebrates.
My first suggestion was wrong.

Also observed that its left claw is smaller than right claw what also match with Ghost crab.

Correction
I was searching lot on Land crabs but its not matched with any find similarity with Ghost crab
