Hi there. This is definitely not Narceus americanus and is most likely a Caribbean species that's been introduced into Florida. There's not a lot of information on them, but Dr. Rowland Shelley mentions first reporting them in Florida in 2006, and they seem to be spreading across the state rather quickly.
