Brown rabbit. Spotted several feeding on side of road that lead to a nature trail.
I ended up using just the family name because I also thought it might be Sylvilagus aquaticus http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Swamp_rabbi.... It is on a trail in a swamp so wasn't sure.
