Yes...its Salamander... Agree to you both....Latimeria and Scott... Eyes are typically Salamander...
This is interesting to see cut of its tail..!!

It looks much more like a salamander to me, especially the skin, which looks slimy like an amphibian. The head isn't as pointed as a skink's, and the eyes are different as well.

It's some species of salamander, an amphibian. It looks like it's lost a part of its tail.
