Ah, auntnance - no, no clue yet.

Exactly this is the question - it appears to be a hybrid between lichen and fungus (and yes, looks kinda mossy, too).

Most interesting. Where was it growing/on what? Do you have a best guess as to whether it is a fungus, a moss or a lichen?
