Sausage Tree

Kigelia africana

Description:

A large tree with huge fruit that can weigh up to 7kg.

Habitat:

Riverine vegetation on floodplains.

Notes:

We parked near a restaurant at the Letaba rest camp and saw the sign I included. It wasn't until later that we saw the fruit and understood the need for caution!
