Reeve's Muntjac

Muntiacus reevesi

Description:

Reeve's Muntjac is a small muntjac (same family as deer) native to China. They are now mainly found in Britain. While listed as an animal of least concern on the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species, it is protected under Hong Kong's Cap 170 Wild Animals Protection Ordinance. Spotted at Disney's Animal Kingdom.

Habitat:

In China, Reeve's Munjac are/were found in subtropical rainforests at moderate elevations. Some preference was shown to be near streams. In Britain, the muntjac live in varied areas. However, as an introduced species to these areas, this may simply indicate making due.

My first reaction is that it is just so cute. Upon reflection, while small, those antlers do look wicked.
