Description:

Sage brush colored plant. In the fall the tops turn bright orange. Bees, wasps, hornets, and other bugs are very attracted to them.

Habitat:

Dry areas, roadsides.

Notes:

I'd never really noticed them until this year. Project Noah really helps open my eyes.

It is a Chrysothamnus sp., probably C. nauseosus.

They look a bit like sagebrush when not in bloom.
