Fortunately, he wasn't too tangled and with a little assistance was free. After a little cleaning up he flew out the door.

Oh, sorry. There is another species of Stagmomantis in Florida, Stagmomantis floridensis. S. floridensis is much larger and has a longer thorax than S. carolina.
