I disturbed the colony when I watered the potted fern it was on. Several pots were filled with these ants, I guess they invaded the pots because of the downpours we've been having lately.

Yes, the white ones are eggs, the adults carried them on the nearby tree.

Those white things are their eggs that they are carrying up away from the water you put in the post.
