Hippopotamus amphibius
The hippopotamus (Hippopotamus amphibius), or hippo, from the ancient Greek for "river horse" (ἱπποπόταμος), is a large, mostly herbivorous mammal in sub-Saharan Africa, and one of only two extant species in the family Hippopotamidae (the other is the Pygmy Hippopotamus.)
Lives in rivers
These hippos are a family at the San Diego Zoo.

Great series. Thanks for posting.
In the last picture, the left hippo has a dart in its head but I could never find out from a keeper what was going on.
