its on a log on this picture but I also seen it in moss and this log was pretty wet in the shade in the forest

D. intermedia would not be found in British Columbia, at least not naturally growing. Looks like D. rotundifolia to me.

Yeah, Drosera grows in poor soil. It get nutrients from insets and do not need rich soil, only humidity

Was the Drosera growing on wood? That seems odd.

Very interesting carnivorous plant. It's a Drosera, Probably Drosera intermedia.
