Icmadophila ericetorum

Description:

A mint green crustose thallus that is dotted with pink disk (apothecia). Of the six species of the genus Icmadophila that exist in the Northern hemisphere, ericetorum is the only one found in North America.

Habitat:

Found on a large rotting stump near the Western foothills of the Cascade mountains.

Notes:

Also known as Fairy barf lichen and Peppermint drop lichen.
