Ronald and Amissa: The yellow coloration on bumble bees is part of their actual body, not pollen. I have also found a lot of carpenter bees around my house this summer. They are amazing little creatures, I think.

This guy originally had yellow pollen on him idk if that determines his species. I agree with you two though... He is a carpenter bee. Thanks!
