ant mimic true bug

Hyalymenus

Description:

This ant mimic was lingering on a lupine flower, and seemed to be herding aphids like an ant. At any rate it was definitely interested in the aphids. Maybe it just wanted them off the flower?

Thanks! I've found several ant mimics here that look very much like ants... and others with a more bug-like shape.

Amazing. That's hard to distinguish from an actual ant.
