Sceloporus undulatus
Spotted late afternoon clinging to the side of a trail marker
I only ever knew these as a "fence swift". I even caught one and kept it as a "pet" when I was a kid. Thanks!
I just learned that a "swift" or "fence swift" is another common name for an eastern fence lizard. The scientific name is Sceloporus undulatus.
