Large dragonfly (over 2 inches), green.
This poor creature was flopping around on the ground at my office. It clung to my finger so I took it home and took this picture and then put it in a flowerpot to finish dying, which is what I assume is happening.

I think you're right that it was dying... beautiful picture, though.
