Description:

hat was most interesting. In Bengal, an African tree, Courapeta guineensis, goes by the name 'nagkesar'; it is cauliflorous, flowering from the stem via bud traces, like the jackfruit and the cocoa. The flowers are truly astonishing, like a cobra's hood.

Habitat:

Common on the eastern Himalayas, Bengal and Assam, Burma and Andemanns. It is cultivated in gardens.
