A wasp from the Stenogastrinae subfamily, possibly Parischnogaster species. It's body length is 10 - 17 mm. Reddish brown in color with yellow spots around it's body. The most unique feature of this species and genus is that they have a very long and narrow "waist" between the abdomen and the thorax.
Around the Sepilok Orangutan Sanctuary where there are plants with hanging vines or twigs, in Sandakan, Sabah.

This type of wasps have a symbiotic relationship with hanging twigs and stick where they make it their resting spot or their larvae nursery by building their nests on it. Just before I took these photographs, there were 3 of them resting on this same twig, but only one stayed behind to be photographed.

It's a Vespidae Stenogastrinae.
